What's on at The Star

Every Monday to Friday  from 5pm to 9pm we serve our special  deals for only £6.

 

"Clucking Monday".  Treat yourself to half chicken and chips for only £6  We also have barbecue ribs, scampi and vegetarian nuggets.

 

Join us for Ruby Tuesday.  A choice of curry served with rice, naan and poppadum  only £6

Wednesday is Burger night.  Beef, chicken or vegan burger served with chips only £6. 

For £6 on Thursday night you can get any pie served with mash or chips and vegetables.

Friday night is fish and chips night.  Between 5 and 9pm we serve battered cod and chips for only £6.  Eat in or take away, whichever suits you best.

Saturday morning is big breakfast morning.  From 10am to 12 noon we serve or double big breakfast for £5.

And Saturday night is steak night.  2 steaks plus a bottle of wine for £30.

Our Sunday Carvery is open from 12 noon to 5pm  and our a la carte menu is available from 12noon to 8pm.

Sunday night is Quiz Night.  Cash prizes to be won.  Teams maximum 4 persons. £1 entry per person to include nibbles.

Throughout the week the convivial atmosphere at The Star is enhanced with a generic selection of music compiled from the 60s through to the sounds of tomorrow.

 

Sky television is now up and running with 2 screens to  give maximum coverage of your favourite sporting events, this will cover golf, snooker, tennis, football and of course rugby. The qualifying games for Rugby World Cup are only available on Sky which you ca enjoy at The Star. Watch with interest, the forthcoming events could well be the subject of a future quiz!

 

We are very conscious of the unique fun, banter and friendships that make The Star such a special place and will endeavour not to let new initiatives interfere with this.
